Encouraging community connectedness is important to us! This year, Thai Village was able to support men from Promise Lutheran Church to get away, relax, and enjoy fellowship together in the rainy mountains of Chiang Dao.

This retreat provided an opportunity for the men from the church to spend time together participating in various activities including worship, games, Bible study, and meal preparation. Spending time together and encouraging each other has been key to getting to know each other better.

During this retreat, the men studied the Bible on the topic of “The Role of Men” and how that applies to themselves, their families, the church, society, community, and the nation. They reported that they recognized the importance that this plays in creating a positive impact on themselves, their families, the church, and society. And remembering, in all things, God is always there to help and support them. Furthermore, one of the men said: “We saw that we are not alone. We also have friends in the group who are always ready to cooperate and help each other and are always there for each other.”
